About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. See American Preparatory Academy & the School for New's test results to learn more about school performance.

Stay away; the directors are only looking to make money off the system!
My kids went to the "Accelerated School" and we were promised they would accelerate them through 1 ½-2 years in math. Well, after they fired the math teacher, they selected an instructor to teach who didn't even have his teaching license; and his degree was in chemistry!
My kids were a year BEHIND when they left and are trying to play catch up now.
They hire and fire teachers and staff like people change their underwear, but the only thing that stinks is the way the schools are being run.
They do not care about students with special needs and most teachers don't even know when a student has an IEP, let alone abide by the accommodations and goals.
They lie, treat their staff like garbage, and if you say anything against them, or call them on their crap, they will get rid of you and try to buy your silence with a severance package.
Even great teachers with no issues and a long list of positive reports is safe if the director doesn't like what you say.
Please stay away and work with your public school. These charter schools are sucking the money away from the public neighborhood schools by making promises that they can't keep and are pocketing the money.
