Small World Child Care Reviews
I used to work here, and it's cool. They really do care about the kids. Some parents come in really rude after their long days at work and they totally forget that we've been caring for their kids all day, and they see a crumb on their check and freak out thinking their kids aren't cared for, it's totally not true. I was really impressed when I worked there that not only the teachers care but the office staff cares about the kids too. If I had kids I would take them there. I loooovvvedd it!!
My two children have been attending small world for almost 3 years now. I wish I was able to provide them care at home, but I can not, so I am thankful for others who can help me. I was very nervous to begin placement, so I searched several day cares before selecting Small World West Valley. I have since been very pleased with my care. My children are treated well and I know they are cared for. The office staff is quick to alert me to any concerns, and they know my children by name. I have seen many happy families take the kids there and I have never encounted any situations that have made me think twice. I think selecting a child care is hard and there will never be a place any better than your own home, but for us this place is pretty close as far as I am concerned. I reccommended this place to my friend and she told me she was impressed by the care she got on her tour, but before she could enroll her son, she found out her job was moving out of state. My sister has her kids at a daycare in Reno and they just watch the kids, I feel like here they involve them because my kids come home almost everyday with art projects. I really like the safe building and I think they do a good job caring for all the kids there. We are glad we chose this day care.
I enrolled my 2 yr old on Monday It seemed ato be a great idea! Tuesday I picked her up with a 104.2 temp, she was crying and very upset. Wendsday I had to stay home with her, got her better and was giving her lots of fluids and medicine every 6 hours. Thursday I picked her up, she was sicker then before, they did not give her anything to drink, nor did they give her the medicine i told them to giver her around nap time. They left feces on her bottom, so that area was a total red sore mess. This 3 day nightmare cost $265.00 as they have a 2 week policy ( I can not find this policy written anywhere in the documents i signed) on cancelation. I was real excited at first about Small world, until my little girl's life was turned upside down- Total cost for the 3 days was $265 plus time off work a new sitter $100, Around $565.00. They are under staffed and they do not disinfect anything, I have asked what the procedure is for toys etc.. and still have no reply. They did reply to my other concerns stating they did give them the drinks I gave them ( both of them not opened when I picked her up Thursday) and they did not know about the medicine??? ( I talked to the teacher about all of this on Thursday morning and showed it to her) My husbands friend had his daughter in there a week before my daughter, she ended up in the ER on Thursday. They do not communicate togethor, no one knows what the other is doing.
My daughter has been going to this daycare for 4yrs now. She loves the teachers that work there. They are very welcoming and friendly.
