St. Albans City Elementary School Reviews
St. Albans City Elementary School has many excellent, caring and dedicated teachers. Unfortunately that is not enough to overcome its problems. In particular, the Seventh and Eighth Grades at City School have almost no Science or Social Studies. This is undoubtably reflected in their very low Science NECAP scores. Additionally, the Eighth Grade Science Lab was dismantled under the authority of the new principal so it is unlikely that current or future middle school students will have a chance to do laboratory experiments in a safe environment. If my children could go to any other school, they would.
St. Albans City Elementary School has many wonderful, caring teachers, and good support staff; unfortunately that isn't enough to overcome its problems. In particular, since 2008 the school, especially the 7th and 8th grades, has gone from bad to worse. If my children could go to any other school in Franklin County, they would.
