T. C. Williams High School Reviews
I'm a university Teacher and I completely disagree with giving laptops to students, they won't use it as an information resource but to waste their time on twitter, facebook, etc. teach them to do real research work if you want them to go to university and to improve their academic performance.
I pesonally think that T.C has a horrible system, teachers that in my opinion arent very helpful, and alot of peer pressure from your fellow peers that could effect you if not handled correctly. If your an athlete I would recommend this school and also if you are trying to experience different feilds to figure out what career you would like to inhabit. Me personally I dont like this school and im trying to transfer this summer before i start 10th grade
-Coming from a 9th grader, who has experienced it
Segregation is not alive at TC in the way people think of segregation. Many times it may look like it's segregated, but it's because people hang out with people from their neighborhoods. That's just the way life is. Since it is the only public high school in Alexandria it serves every socio-economic level there is and everytype of neighborhood. Unlike Fairfax County schools which are basically 'neighborhood' schools. Depending on the neighborhood you live in will determine the type of school you are at.
I graduated from TC and had no problems with anyone.
T.C. is a great school. I could not ask for better teachers, particularly in math. More are earning their National Board Certification. Everyone at T.C. has the opportunity to succeed.
T.C Williams is a great high school. It has much to be proud of. I have gone to T.C Williams for the past three years and I have met some of the greatest teachers there. There are many opportunities there and it all the depends on the student and what it is they make of those opportunities. There are many classes available that specify in different career fields and programs such as Project Discovery and CLP, just to name a few, that help out students that want to do better.
t.c . williams high school has 50 percent drop out rate. The new labor force or uneducated man power for the private school students, it is sad. Do not send your kids to tc willam. if you don't believe me look at my writing skills , and i graduated with honers . Segregation is still alive in the school system.
i love this school and the labtops are great by the way we do alot of work on it plus it makes writing articles and new letter and class assignments funnier
This school gives laptops to students. This is a terrible idea because students use the laptops for playing videos games and email. Instead of an instructional tool the laptops have become a distraction.
