However, FCPS needs to update their student to teacher ratios for their schools... Don't be fooled; the numbers are no where near 16:1!!! Why, at the end of the 2008 school year, FCPS raised their student to teacher ratio to somewhere between 33 or 35 students to 1 teacher and they have stated that they are going to raise these numbers by another 1.5 students for the 2009-10 school year. While every class isn't necessarily this high, you can be assured that the classes are more than likely around 28-30 students. That being said, Oak Hill manages these larger class sizes as required by FCPS amazingly well!!!
