Both of my children graduated from York High School.
My daughter transferred from a high school in Hawaii. Hawaii schools did nothing for my kids and my daughter was thinking of dropping out. Moved to York High School and I saw a different kid. She wanted to go to school. Because she was special education they can get a modified diploma but my daughter's Special Ed advisor talked her into going for a regular diploma. It took an extra year but she did it and was very proud of it.
My son was involved in JRTC, National Honor Society and the Marching Band. He was also in some advanced classes. Because of the chance for him to excel and his good SAT scores he was able to get into a great college, Virginia Tech.
