Capt Johnston Blakely Elementary School Reviews
The school is fine. Nothing amazing, but fine. The academics are significantly behind those of schools in other metropolitan areas where we have lived. The PTO, however, is atrocious. The PTO does not represent the best interests of all children in the school - only the viewpoints of the senior PTO representatives. I have seen instances where despite being presented with a contrary opinion by many members of the parent population, the PTO president charged forward in pursuit of her own opinion. I plan to pull my children out of the public school system next year and contribute my money in support of a school (and parent governing body) that supports the collective interests of all of the children at the school, not just a select group.
I went to blakely and loved it. It was my favorite school.
