Bellevue Children's Academy Reviews

By a Parent on

BCA has worked out wonderfully for our daughter.  She has made incredible progress in her first 8 months of Kindergarten here.  She is working significantly above grade level in all her classes.  The class room sizes are fantastic (12 students per teacher), she has a wide variety of standard classes (english, math, science, drama, music, spanish, PE, etc.) all with specialized teachers, and the selection of optional after school programs here is great (karate, chess, gymnastics, art, soccer, etc.).   Our daughter loves her school and we feel that we could not have chosen better for her.    The shool has a reputation for academics and for being very 'structured' although they are trying to broaden that reputation through things like there after school programs and parent/community involvement and a focus on increasing diversity within there student body.  One thing I have noticed when speaking to some parents who are considering BCA is that many of them are attracted to it for the 'structure' because they have kids with 'attention' or 'focus' issues.  Personally I think that a child needs to be pretty mature to excel in the BCA environement and it may therefore not be an ideal place for such kids.  For kids who are ready, our experience has been that it is fantastic.
