Weyerhaeuser Elementary School Reviews
I am glad the District is finally taking steps to address the bullying issues. Having the public forum such as this allows for parents to get the word out and get the lights on. I have heard the District is working with the Department of Education to help prevent bullying issus which is a good thing.
"It saddens my heart that someone had a bad experience and felt the need to post a negative review for all to see." It saddens me that this parent thinks so little of a child's bad experience that they wouldn't care if a child was being bullied? President Obama has even said, " If even one child is bullied and it is ignored, it is one child too many." We all need to care about every student and realize not everyone experience is the same. If we all care then all can be supported and have a good experience, not just a select few.
I am extremely happy with the teachers and staff of WES. I have found the administration and staff very helpful in the areas of bullying. My son had a situation with another student that I needed support in and I felt like the counselor and principal were very supportive. It saddens my heart that someone had a bad experience and felt the need to post a negative review for all to see.
I am very concerned about the administration in this school. It appears that there is a mentality to cover over bully issues and act as if nothing ever happens here. Once you complain your child is the target of discipline so that the Administration can prove they are handling issues. I feel there are safety concerns with this school and the District Administration needs to deal with it sooner rather than later.
