Northlake Academy Reviews
Best preschool and kindergarten in town…We're staying for first grade!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Northlake! Great staff! Director and teachers are very accommodating of my flexible schedule, helpful, knowledgeable, always available to answer questions, and obviously enjoy what they do. They treat each child with respect and individual attention, are terrific role models and keep classrooms calm and happy places. Great location! Beautifully landscaped site includes a huge playground. Kids learn how to take care of their gardens and classrooms. Great curriculum! My son is a year ahead of his age group academically and has learned good manners and self discipline way beyond his peers. He constantly impresses me with the things he knows and can do. He loves school and asks every weekend when he gets to go back to school. He has developed a love of learning that as a former teacher I really appreciate. Great fun for family visitors like grandma! Highly recommend.

Northlake employs staff from Japan, India, Denmark, Columbia, Bulgaria, and the United States.
Northlake Preschool teachers speak Bulgarian, Danish, English, French, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish.
Children are native speakers of Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, English, Farsi, Japanese, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Taiwanese, and Tamil. Many of even our youngest children enroll in school speaking a couple of languages already, neither one English.
Every day is a celebration of diversity at Northlake! We celebrate each child and respect each child's heritage. One father touring the school asked how we "taught" diversity. I said: just look around! We LIVE it. (And we love it!)
Love Northlake Preschool in downtown Kirkland. Teachers are all wonderful, caring and dedicated to making the classes interesting and fun for the kids. Sue, the director, has done a fabulous job of building out the school and adding in fun extras like Tumblebus; dance/movement; performances. It has been a home-away-from-home for my daughter. I couldn't ask for anything better.
