Children's Institute For Learning Differences Reviews

By , a Teacher on

Child's has been around for many years.  They have a high turnover with staff and the quality of service depends on who happens to be working at the time your student is enrolled.  I've never worked at Childs but I have taken students from Childs and placed them in my EBD program with the LWSD.  The students I've transitioned from Child's still had significant issues to deal with; however, Child's was very professional in terms outlining the students abilities and areas that they need support in.  Many of the parents who have students in the program have had negative experiences with schools for many years and the parents are often very difficult to work with.  Many of the parents "Blame" schools, teachers, administrators, doctors and so on for the problems that their students have when blaming doesn't accomplish anything but alienating  the support teams.  If I had a student attending Child's I would use my energies to help support the team/staff who ever if working there and make the most out of the program that is there at the time your student is there.

Reviewed on

I was very disappointed in their program, and would not recommend it.  The staff would not return emails and were very challenging to work with.  Definately not worth the money.
