About This School
Alternative schools are public schools that offer nontraditional education for students whose needs cannot be met in a regular, special education, or vocational school. While alternative schools are distinct from regular, special education, and vocational schools in their teaching approach or classroom environment, they can provide similar services and/or curriculum for students. Alternative schools include schools for potential dropouts, residential treatment centers for substance abuse, schools for chronic truants, and schools for students with behavioral problems. Room Nine/Journey Program Reviews
Our family loves Room Nine! We love the involved and supportive community, and we love that our kids get to interact with kids at all grade levels, K-8! I'm thrilled that my children won't have to be thrown into the mix in a large middle school, and we get to put that whole thing off until high school. Add to that the middle school STEAM program, with 3 years of exploring the excitement and inventiveness that lives in science and technology, and we're set for many years. I can't say enough great things! You should check it out for sure.
