St Luke School Reviews
Wonderful School, Great Education!
My Husband graduated from St. Luke school, went on to a Catholic University and flash forward a few years and we now have had several of our own kids at St. Luke School since 2003.
My oldest child has been attending St. Luke since she was 3, in the preschool program. She is now in 8th grade and has been accepted to a fantastic, highly academic high school for the next school year. I feel that she is extremely well prepared to continue on to High School.
My other children are doing well in their respective grades. I have a big family and each kid has different strengths. The school manages to accommodate them all.
In addition to a great principal and administrative staff, the teachers, for the most part, are caring and competent.
It's a great feeling to really have the opportunity to get to "KNOW" those teachers and have that rapport that enables you to stay completely informed about everything going on with your kids. The student to teacher ratio provides the opportunity for each student to get the individualized attention they need.
We happen to be Catholic, but there are several families in the school who are not. I get the impression that they feel welcomed and accepted, no matter what their belief system is.
A fantastic new development is the arrival of Father Brad Hagelin. He's a young, committed and enthusiastic new addition to our school and community. My daughter told me how happy she is to have a "Regular person..." as a priest. She said: "Mom, he even came and taught PE!!" He also has regular sessions teaching religion to the students at the school.
There is talk of expanding preschool to an "All Day" program. This would be great for working parents and siblings of older kids who are students in the school.
In closing, I will just say that a Catholic Education is great "Bang for the Buck". Here in the North end of Seattle there are many choices for private schools. Catholic schools offer a fantastic education at a fraction of the cost that a other private schools will cost. When you have a bunch of kids and a budget, these are things to consider!
Cant say enough about our School, Community and Church!
