Tumwater Hill Elementary School
By far the worst school never had homework in 1st or 2nd grade for my child and when daughter attended All day kindergarten it was a complete waste of money. We are military and from Washington and I was unimpressed with this school. It was a joke and they lost my son in first grade for 45 min. and never contacted me I found out at the end of the day when my son had a hard day still. I do not have a troubled son because he is excelling in our new state, as for my daughter she reads in first grade now at a 3.5 grade level and I was told last year when she was in kindergarten at this school she needed title I program for reading. This school is a horrible school WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Also, if you want protection between losing a child and not having locked doors around the school anyone can walk into this school. I told them I came from the back they said oh yah not all doors are locked. Anyone can enter from anywhere...how sad!

The Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards contained in the Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs).
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 are assessed in reading and math, in grades 4 and 7 in writing, and in grades 5 and 8 in science.
How is it Scored?
A student's performance on the reading, math and science MSP is reported using scale scores. Scale scores are three-digit numbers that are used to place the student into one of four levels: Advanced (Level 4), Proficient (Level 3), Basic (Level 2) and Below Basic (Level 1). The goal is for all students to meet or exceed standards (at or above Level 3).
