WESTEST 2 is an untimed summative test of West Virginia's 21st Century CSOs in the areas of online writing, reading, mathematics, social studies and science for grades 3 through 11.

Students are scored at five levels: distinguished, above mastery, mastery, partial mastery and novice. The goal is for students to score at either the mastery, above mastery, or distinguished level.
