Our daughter attended from kindergarten to 2011 and the only problem we ever had was with the quicker picker upper situation, its absolute chaos!! People park wherever they want and block you in and leave there car sit while they get out and walk away and nobody does anything about it, and its frustrating all the parents that sit around the circle waiting for children to come out smoking cigarettes and idling there cars right in front of the school doors and its ignored the teachers treat it like nothings going on, i understand they dont wanna be bothered but really? You cant send someone from the school outside to ask them not to park like idiots and put their ciggs out? Along with that nightmare... there is the issue of the inclusion program which basically means that each grade level will have one class (just one) that is filled with all the "challenged" students, we struggled a great deal with this problem since it was almost impossible for the teacher to give any attention to our childs needs because he was overwhelmed with the needs of these students, i understand the point behind "inclusion" but i do not understand putting them all in one class??? There test scores are good and we heard good things about it and thats why we sent our child there, however looking back on it now since she attends a new school and there ways of learning are different it looks very much to my wife and I that the teachers let the students breeze through and they give them the answers so that there test scores are high... and she did not remember half the stuff she learned. Her new school pushes her harder and shes remembering what she has learned yes she has more work to do and no kid wants that but whats more important? Something to think about.

I am happy with Opequon Elementary . I have had my Boys in the school now for the past 2 yrs I just wish that  school had more Real Walls and less of the partitions. I guess it will be better now that the third graders are going to be going to eagle School now so there will be less Children in the school now so time will tell if the school will be better in the long run with the smaller grade levels in the school. I LOVE the Teachers that we have dealt with so far & Looking forward to working with more.
