Brooke High School
I graduated Brooke High about 8 years ago. Granted a lot has probably changed since my enrollment, I felt like this school really held me back . The teachers had a very "sink or swim" attitude about them. Then when you shined in one aspect, it was "ok thats nice, lets move on". Math classes were the worst! I felt these teachers always knew what they were talking about, but had NO ability to pass that knowledge on.
This school is really hard to get through if you dont fit into the mold. The students and sadly a lot of the faculty were horrible homophobic. Bullying was a daily problem. So many days I wanted to die from the abuse I endured here. Also, I dont believe in god or flying spaghetti monsters, so why were teachers leading prayers in the auditorium? If not illegal, completely unethical.
If you live in the area, I'd suggest Weir High School or make the investment and send your kid to private school. It's more than worth it.

Brooke High School
As a current student I agree that the school does have priority issues but those things are getting better. The school as a whole is fairly well rounded. We have a great Fine Arts Dept, although underfunded sometimes, it has begun to be recognized worldwide. Recently we have started a big push in academics that from what I understand really helped our test scores. The administration has good intentions with the tings they do, however they tend to treat us like we are all 4th graders. All in all, I believe BHS is beginning to turn its self around in many ways and hopefully it will be a great school once again.

Brooke High School
This school has serious issues with the administration who really does not care about the education of the students and even some teachers who have been in trouble with the law. I would think twice before sending my child to this school. They emphasize athletics and push learning aside. Some teachers come to school late repeatedly and the ones who are there and trying to teach the students are suffering because the administration only cares about winning football teams. It is truly sad.

Brooke High School
As a student currently enrolled in Brooke High, I must say that the school is rather nice. The teachers are stern, but kind at the same time. The atmosphere is a little downtrodden because of the bland colors of green and white, but is great for learning. Most of the students are nice, but there are some rotten eggs that make other look just as bad as them. If i were to rate Brooke High on a scale of 1-10, it would score an 8.
