Lakeshore Elementary School
Lakeshore Elementary is a fantastic school. My daughter is going into the fourth grade and has being going to Lakeshore since Kindergarten. All of her teachers have been above grade. The diversity of the students (low to high income, special education to gifted students, multi-cultural) will help all these students adjust to middle and high school. The extra-curricular programs and in-school field trips offered have been great. Also, each child is taught at their level. In third grade the math classes work broke down into 4 or 5 groups in order to keep everyone learning, no one got left behind or bored. We LOVE Lakeshore!

Lakeshore Elementary School
Melissa: I love this school for my son. He is in special educations (speech, specialized physical education) and will be entering the third grade in the fall. One of their field trips is to go fishing (they are right on the "coast" of half moon lake. They also put on a few music programs that incorporate music, art, and physical education (choreographed dances). The teachers are very nice, and I find the principal to be very approachable. There is a higher percentage of lower income children in this area (its settled right in the college housing area), as well as a higher percentage of children with Enlish as a second language. I like the teachers, I like the diversity. Not everything can or will be measured in test scores, so I encourage parents not to use scores as one of their overriding factors.
