About This School
The mission of the Freedom Area School District is to develop in our youth a continuing desire to learn. To this end, educational programs which fit the appropriate developmental abilities, needs, and interests of our students will be provided on an equal basis. With this goal in mind, appropriate academic, cognitive, emotional, physical, social, and vocational skills will be developed in our students.
High School Goals for 2010-2011
1. Improve student learning by modifying instruction. Teachers will take measured risks to develop lessons that are high in rigor and relevancy, while at the same time building meaningful and respectful relationships with the students.
2. Continue to expand and improve the collaborative team to heighten collegiality provide a forum for staff input.
3. Develop a sustainable action plan for the use of all data from all available sources such as: MAP(measures of academic progress), WKCE, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, and local surveys to individualize instruction and scheduling.
In 2011, Freedom High School had 13 students for every full-time equivalent teacher. The Wisconsin average is 15 students per full-time equivalent teacher.
