About the PAWS
What is it?
The Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students (PAWS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in reading, writing and math grades 3 through 8 and grade 11.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored at four levels: novice, partially proficient, proficient and advanced. The goal is for students to score at or above the proficient level.
