8. Give Her a Hand With Understanding Fiction
A child with Asperger syndrome may have difficulty writing essays and "reading between the lines" because she doesn't understand multiple levels of meaning and emotional nuances.
Encourage your child to talk to you if she doesn't understand why a character behaved a certain way or said a certain thing. Although, unless you've read the book yourself, you probably won't be able to talk to her in nitty-gritty detail about the book, you might be able to give her some insight into people's motivations.
