2. Pneumococcal Vaccine (PCV)
The PCV vaccine protects against pneumococcal bacteria. This bacteria can cause dangerous infections including pneumonia, bacterial meningitis and blood infections. The vaccine is recommended for kids under 5. Since the bacteria is spread from person-to-person contact, the vaccine stops the infection from spreading to your child.
