Three- to five-year-olds love to scribble and may even draw letter-like forms. Encourage your child's interest by providing her with oversized markers and crayons. Your child may write randomly (from left to right, right to left, top to bottom, etc.) and may use both uppercase and lowercase letters.
Teach your child the difference between drawing and writing, how to print letters, and which way to write on a page.
