ADHD and School

According to the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) qualify for special education services. However, to have a successful school experience, certain classroom modifications and accommodations must be made for children with ADHD. For example, modifying the presentation of class material by using concrete examples of concepts before teaching the abstract may be necessary.
