Become aware of the variety of college choices open to your child—from ivy league to community schools, to technical and vocational. Taking the time to create objectives for what your child is seeking in a college experience and researching colleges to match those needs, not to mention, cost options, is important for setting the stage for a positive college experience. The more information your child has on how to prepare and what to expect from their college experience, the more likely it is that they will thrive.
