Child Depression

Depression can strike once, or it can be a chronic problem. In either case, it is a serious condition. Since depression is most commonly diagnosed based on the affected person's description of their own feelings and behavior, it can be tricky to recognize the signs in children. Fortunately, once a diagnosis is made, treatments (including antidepressants and therapy) are often very successful.
