Stuttering

Stuttering
Stuttering is a speech production problem in which children repeat or prolong speech sounds, e.g., "g-g-g-g-g-go" or "Mo-ah-ah-ah-ah-mmy." Stuttering usually has a gradual onset between ages two and seven. Stuttering affects about 1% of children. More girls have stuttering problems than boys. The ratio is three boys to one girl.
