Kindergarten Sight Words: Here to Into
Learning to read English is no simple feat! For every group of words that follows a rule, there are a large handful of exceptions. These words, called sight words, are more easily learned through the whole-word approach—learning the word as a whole rather than decoding it phonetically. While memorizing a list of words could easily get repetitive and boring for your child, making the words into flash cards makes the process fun. Incorporate these colorful word cards into your child's daily routine by taping them up around the house.
