Vowel Sounds: Long "O"

(based on 2 ratings)
Publisher: Education.com
Topics: First Grade, Sounding It Out

A fish and a boat both belong in the water, but only one of them belongs on this long "O" page. This phonics worksheet presents kids with a set of pictures – some with the long "O" sound, and some without. Kids say the word for each picture, then circle the pictures that have the long "O" sound. Then they can write their own long "O" word on the lines provided at the bottom of the page. Learning vowel sounds is an important skill for emergent readers.
