Long and Short Vowels: "E"
Learning to distinguish between short and long vowel sounds is an important phonics skill for emergent readers. With practice, these sounds soon will be eeeasy for your child. This worksheet presents kids with a group of pictures to cut out. Each picture is an object with a short or long "E" sound. Kids say the name for each picture, then glue the short "E" pictures next to the net and the long "E" pictures next to the wheel.
