Context Counts!

(based on 5 ratings)
Publisher: Workman
Topics: Third Grade, Comprehension

Believe it or not, the answer is in the context. This worksheet challenges your child's vocabulary skills by having him use context clues and synonym skills. There are several sentences on the page that use some complex words, so he'll need to read through the sentences, and using the context clues, decide what word to insert. By the time he finishes this worksheet he will have improved his vocabulary skills, and maybe even had a little fun!

I am a after school Tutor who work with students who read below their grade level.  I was searching for activities to complete once the tutoring session had ended.  Your resource materials along with their regular tutoring materials will help my students prepare in their reading comprehension skills so that they can score high scores on the North Carolina End of Grade, End of year tests.  Thanks!
