The online education destination awards six children $500 for college and $1,000 to donate
SAN MATEO, Calif. – December 20, 2019
Education.com, the leading online education destination for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers looking to help their children succeed in school, today announced the six winners of the 2019 Limitless Learners Contest.
In support of the company’s mission to create learning experiences that inspire children’s passion, curiosity, and optimism, the contest encourages children to think creatively about the types of learning experiences that captivate them. Contestants submitted original artwork and written pieces in response to the prompt, “Describe a time when you were having so much fun, you didn't realize you were learning something new!” More information about the contest can be found here.
The winning entries were distinctive in the way they portrayed each child’s meaningful learning experience, leveraging original artwork and compelling writing in narrative and poetic form. Each winner will receive $500 for college, a $1,000 donation to their elementary school, and a free lifetime Premium membership to Education.com for a teacher of their choice.
The winners are:
Lydia, a kindergarten student from Illinois, who wrote about gardening with her mother and grandfather;
Ardent, a first grader from Texas, who wrote about learning Latin with her dynamic teacher;
Alice, a second grader from New York, who wrote about her family’s visit to the Wild Center in New York’s Adirondack Mountains;
Mandalyn, a third grader from Texas, who wrote about a science experiment in her class;
