Finding Evidence Through Research

Finding Evidence Through Research

When your child is writing an essay, model how to find information through a variety of resources, such online articles, books, or magazines. Encourage your young writer to use these resources to pull together strong evidence for their writing.
While your young essayists are learning to draft papers, encourage them to find their evidence and reasons by digging deep into their text. Certain essays require evidence from multiple sources, such as online materials, books, and magazines. Regardless of the type of writing your students are pursuing, make sure they include interesting facts and a strong viewpoint.
