Pronouns
Pronouns
A pronoun takes the place of another word in the sentence. For example, instead of saying Mrs. Jones over and over again, the pronoun 'she' could be used. Properly using pronouns is an important skill for a young writer and speaker. Work with your child to discuss pronouns and the nouns they replace.
Pronouns are an important component of increasing your students' word knowledge and writing skills. Teach your students about subject and object pronouns, as well as when to use them. This will strengthen their writing and conversational skills.
