Word Lists

Word Lists

Keep your child's spelling and vocabulary lists in a single folder so that you can refer to them throughout the year. Try to make connections between new words and old words.
When introducing new words each week, remember to discuss word morphology and spiral back to previous words in order to reinforce and practice vocabulary skills. Always find ways to connect to texts read in class as well as writing activities.
