Word Lists

Word Lists

Your child may encounter tricky words in their social studies lessons. Help them prepare for upcoming history topics by adding those content-specific words to their weekly word list. Have your child draw a picture or comic to help them remember the meaning of a challenging word.
As you introduce new vocabulary terms to your class, try to incorporate words from your social studies and history lessons. As an extra challenge, have pairs of students create word posters that show definitions, synonyms, antonyms, and visuals for focus words. Then, have pairs share their posters with the class.
