Creative Writing
Creative Writing
Telling a story from another point of view is a challenging and fun spin on things. Help your child pretend to be another character or object in the story. Challenge them to tell the story from that point of view. Be sure to discuss how the story changed when it was told from a different point of view.
There are many ways to approach create writing. One way is to get your students to think about the main and supporting characters. Another is to challenge your students to think about the story from other points of view. For a fun and interesting writing exercise, choose a picture book that you have read to the class. Give students the opportunity to choose a character from the book and tell the story from that character's point of view. Allow your students to share and offer each other feedback.
