Exploring Syllables

Exploring Syllables

At this time of year, your kid's class will cover breaking words down into individual syllables—or syllabication. For a fun learning game, have everyone in the family clap along to the syllables in their name.
Watch some short syllabication videos with your class. Pause the video periodically to have students write down the rules of syllabication for future use, or write them on a large piece of paper to display in the classroom.
