Plural "Y" Endings

Plural "Y" Endings

Words that end with the letter Y sometimes change when they are made plural. Review words with special spellings with your child.
Create two class charts that show the spelling pattern when changing a noun from singular to plural form. One chart can be for words ending with consonant+Y; the other for words ending with vowel+Y. Add to the chart as you come across words throughout the day, such as when reading together as a class.

Ask students to come up with at least three reasons why they want this particular book. Use templates to help them organize their work.
