Hard and Soft C and G
Hard and Soft C and G
Make sure your child practices reading both aloud to others and silently to themselves. This will help them practice reading tricky spelling patterns like hard and soft C and G.
Have your class make anchor charts for your classroom as a shared writing activity. Students can brainstorm ways to explain and display various spelling patterns and strategies on posters. These kid-friendly strategies will benefit future students as well!

Split your class into four groups and assign each group one version of a classic fairy tale. Have each group create a poster that includes story elements and present their findings to the class. What similarities and differences did they find?
