Good Reading Habits

Good Reading Habits

Encourage your child to read independently for at least 20 minutes per day. If your child comes to you with questions about how to read words, show them that looking at the picture can help them read the words on their own. Remind your child to think about what is happening in the story as they read. Model other good habits that readers use, such as making predictions and inferences.
