Sharing Books

Take time to share interesting information about things you've read with your child. Tell your child the title of an article, blog, or magazine you've read along with a short summary. Then ask your child to tell you about a book they've read recently.
Make sure to give students an opportunity to share their books with partners after reading time. Give them sentence starters like: My book is called _________. It is about _________. Be sure not to give away the book's ending in case their buddy wants to read it!
