If your child has trouble reading words like "yellow" or "yours," we've got a solution. Use colorful word flash cards to help your child memorize the words as a whole! These words, called sight words, are difficult for beginning readers to sound out phonetically, and more easily learned through the whole word approach. Incorporating the words into your child's daily routine will help her learn them quickly and easily. Just cut them out, tape them up around the house, and let the word fun begin!
