Tell an Edible Story

Kindergarten Comprehension Activities: Tell an Edible Story

based on 1 rating

Kids love to listen to stories, but they love to tell them, too. They'll love it even more with this fun twist. Take some Jello, preferably in a few colors, and make enough in a flat pan so you can cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Once you have the kids assemble a “scene,” let them make up a story about it and tell it before they can eat the main characters of their story. If you have lots of different cookie cutters, you can have lots of different stories. You'll be amazed at how creative the kids will get when they have to use the shapes you give them to form a story!

What You Need:

  • Jello
  • Cookie sheets (about an inch deep)
  • Cookie cutters
  • Platters
