Is it a rhino? An orangutan? A half-eaten piece of chocolate? A bicycle with wings? This is a great imagination-building activity that really gets those creative juices flowing. This game hits the sweet spot for elementary school aged children, but kids as young as three can participate.
What IS That Thing?!? can be played with a number of children, or one-on-one with Mom or Dad. In addition to being tons of fun, this project is a great way to utilize those annoying piles of junk mail that seem to threaten to suffocate our mailboxes on a near-daily basis!
What You Need:
- Construction paper (several sheets any color)
- Non-toxic glue or glue stick
- Scissors (optional)
- Crayons or markers (optional)
- Assorted pieces of paper cut or torn into small abstract shapes (paper should come from as many different sources as possible; wrapping paper, origami paper, and interesting images and patterns from newspapers, magazines, supermarket circulars, and junk mail all work beautifully for this project)
