Directions First: Reading to Draw
Does your first grader love to draw and color? Is he a little less thrilled about reading? Here's a project that'll encourage your young artist to read. In this activity, make reading part of the creative process by inviting your child to read directions on colors, numbers, and shapes in order to create cool pictures. This activity will help your child improve his reading comprehension skills while putting his artistic talents to use!
