Roxanne’s love of learning led her to obtain a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts (English) from the University of Calgary. In addition, Roxanne attended both the Cegep de Jonquiere and the Université de Montreal for French immersion programs, and is certified to teach English as a Second Language through the Canadian Institute of English.

Roxanne has had articles published in “The Homeschooler's Guide”, a learning resource which caters to, but is not limited to, homeschooling families. She has also written for Calgary’s Child and been requested to appear on their behalf on Global TV. Roxanne also contributes educational articles to various community newsletters within her hometown, the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Roxanne has worked both for the public and private educational systems, acquiring experience with a variety of grades, subjects and learning styles. Roxanne soon realized that whether it was for remedial or advanced purposes, there were still children who required additional assistance to understand academic concepts. Thus, over nine years ago, she began her own business as a private tutor, catering for the most part to Language Arts, English, ESL and Social Studies, but sometimes even extending her services to include Math and Science.

Currently, Roxanne has expanded her tutoring business through Tutor Doctor, an international tutoring company which specializes in one-on-one in home tutoring. The service caters to busy families by accommodating their schedules, while at the same time offering a superior tutoring choice which individualizes each student’s learning program and embraces the existing curriculum. When combined, their unique approach to tutoring helps each child master current academic requirements, while also maximizing his/her potential.

Tutor Doctor is affiliated with the National Tutor Association (NTA), whose mission is to foster the advancement of professional and peer tutoring, support research into best practices and standards for all tutors, support tutor training, advocate for tutor certification, and uphold the NTA Code of Ethics.
