Tell your child you want to work on kindergarten readiness skills and she's not likely to jump up and clap. But turn it into a game and it's a different story.
Teach your child how to create lots and lots of line designs by wrapping string around wooden blocks, and using them to create line-filled prints.
Your child will begin to recognize written color names as she looks at the different patterns and matches them up with the correct color name.
What if your child couldn't see the pictures of a picture book? In this activity, she'll listen to a story without looking at the images, and create her own.
