Lincoln and Lancaster County now have a presence on the World Wide Web, accessible through the Internet. The City of Lincoln was awarded a grant in the amount of $185,000 from the Department of Commerce, which provided 1/3 of the project's total cost.
With this service, citizens can:
- access information about the city and county departments
- communicate with government officials via E-Mail
- obtain agendas for meetings of the City Council and County Commissioners
- find a list of job openings in city-county government
- register to vote
- find lost and found animals
- see a map showing parks, libraries, and crime information in your neighborhood
- find out which bus to take, along with fare information
- Look up property assessment & tax records (real time)
