THE LEAGUE: Curriculum by Learning to Give
About Us
Learning to Give is the curriculum division of The LEAGUE.
Learning to Give educates youth about the importance of philanthropy, the civil society sector, and civic engagement. The Learning to Give Web site offers over 1,200 K-12 lessons and educational resources for teachers, parents, youth workers, faith groups and community leaders free of charge.
The LEAGUE is a school and web-based system for service learning that builds character and empowers young people to “do good” in their community, the nation and the world. The organization developed the country’s first standards-based classroom lessons that teach students the core subjects from a philanthropic perspective. Students learn about giving, service, responsibility, character and leadership in the classroom and practice it in the community (learning and doing).
